We end this day with an update from Charlotte’s family:
“Here is Charlotte (previously Lindy) with her kitty. From the moment I saw her on the National Mill Dog Rescue website from the moment I first held her, I just knew she was going to be mine. I officially adopted her just over a year ago. Throughout her first year in freedom, Charlotte has done many photo shoots, tried all kinds of different haircuts, learned how to be a normal dog, and most importantly, learned how to love and trust again. This spunky girl has given me the best year of my life, and I look forward to many more years.
Charlotte had a major breakthrough a few weeks ago. We had a big get-together at my house, with about 13 people, and she got to join the party! Normally I have to separate her and put her in a more quiet place, but not this time. She barked at each of the guests as they arrived, but she settled down after they gave her a treat. She was actually going around and asking for attention. She used to growl and bark nonstop at guests, but now she is a totally different dog! This change happened overnight and it amazed me so much.
Thank you, Charlotte, for choosing me to be your mom. I love you so much, my sweet girl!”
