We end this day with an update from Duggie and Jack’s family:

“We adopted Duggie and Jack (previously Doogie and Jacques at National Mill Dog Rescue—Duggie is in the back in the picture) on September 21. It was a match made in heaven. They were rescued in 2012 and had been with a family for seven years. We were looking to adopt two dogs that might be bonded, and found they were a perfect fit. Duggie is twelve and Jack is eight. They were very shy and worried at first, not knowing what was happening. They love the yard and cuddles. Many are surprised that we adopt older dogs. Our hearts want to give them a loving home for however long they may have. Of course we get the bonus of their love. No one knows how long their dogs will live, or ourselves for that matter. Look at days, not years, and find the blessings around you.”
